Princess Amalia is grateful to everyone who congratulated her on her twentieth birthday last Thursday. She will share this officially on Sunday Instagram-account of the Royal House.
“Many thanks for all the congratulations I received on the occasion of my twentieth birthday. All the heart-warming messages made my day even more special,” Amalia wrote in a private photo.
The eldest daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima had a birthday on Thursday. To mark the occasion, the Government Information Service (RVD) released a new photo of her. It was made in December 2022 at Noordeinde Palace.
Amalia has been officially her father’s heir to the throne since her eighteenth birthday. If something happens to King Willem-Alexander or he decides to abdicate, the throne will go to Amalia.
It will take a while before Amalia’s sisters also turn twenty. Princess Alexia will celebrate her nineteenth birthday on June 26 and Princess Ariane will turn seventeen on April 10.
