Prince Felix (18), son of Prince Joachim (52) and ex-wife Countess Alexandra (57), reveals on Tuesday night that he is no longer available on the market.
– It’s true that I’m dating Karen. We have seen each other for a long time, says the young prince to the Danes BT through her press adviser Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen.
According to the newspaper, this is the first time the 18-year-old has revealed that he has a girlfriend.

Goes his own way
Felix, who turns 19 later this month, has, unlike his big brother Prince Nikolai (21), stayed away from the limelight.
As a young adult, the prince has already paved his own path. The big brother, Prince Nikolai, graduated from upper secondary school Herlufsholm in 2018. The latter school, on the other hand, chose Prince Felix, and decided to start at the local high school Gammel Hellerup, in favor of the prestigious boarding school.

The 18-year-old prince’s decision not to become a student at Herlufsholm, however, found the Danish royal house expert Søren Jakobsen interesting.
To BT he told that Prince Felix’s decision not to go to school makes him opt out of a network you get as a student at Herlufsholm, where several of the other royals also send their children.

What the future brings for the prince is uncertain, but according to the Danish newspaper, Queen Margrethe has already announced that Prince Felix will not receive applause, and can therefore expect a life where he will have to create his own career.
– He must think that he should have an education and have a life where he can support himself. He has three siblings, so it is limited how much his father can assist, Jakobsen explained to the newspaper.

Dropped out
Although the 18-year-old prince cannot enjoy any appanage in the future, Jakobsen believes that he can still appreciate that his brother, Prince Nikolai, has made it easier for him to make future choices that do not follow the royal traditions.
It is a tradition in the Danish royal house that the men have always been part of the Danish defense, and the father of the two prince brothers, Prince Joachim, therefore took it for granted that the tradition should be passed on to his eldest son, Prince Nikolai.

However, this was not the case when Prince Nikolai decided to drop out of the military.
Last month, however, Felix was able to celebrate the completion of thirteen years of schooling. Prince Joachim had traveled from France to attend the big day.
