Presidential election 2020. Rafał Trzaskowski: Over 58 percent of our society wants change. I will be your candidate!

“These results show the most important thing: more than 58 percent of our society wants change. I want to say to all these citizens today: I will be your candidate, I will be a candidate for change!” – announced Rafał Trzaskowski shortly after the publication of the first survey results of the first round of the presidential election 2020. As indicated by exit poll for the three largest TV stations, in today’s first round the incumbent president Andrzej Duda gained 41.8 percent of the vote, while the candidate of the Civic Coalition supported 30.4 percentage of voters. “With such results you can go for a fight for Poland!” – Rafał Trzaskowski commented with a smile and assured: “I will be a candidate for change, but I will also be the president of all Polish women – including those who disagree with me today.”

“Before I thank all of Poland, I would like to thank Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska most sincerely, I wanted to thank the Senate of the Republic of Poland and all local governments in Poland who showed their character! Were it not for Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, if not for all local government officials in Poland, if not for the Senate of the Republic of Poland, it would have been a long time ago after the election. And thanks to them we have a chance to win these elections! “ – said Rafał Trzaskowski at the beginning of his speech.

Referring to second round of presidential elections 2020, which will be carried out in two weeks, on Sunday, July 12, and in which will face President Andrzej Duda, the Civic Coalition candidate stressed: “These will be the choices between open Poland and Poland that is constantly looking for an enemy, between those who respect women’s rights and those who do not, there will be choices between those who tell citizens that they’ve given them something and those who say that we owe everything in Poland to your hard work. These will be the choices between those who seek agreement and those who seek conflict all the time, those who want to look ahead (…) and those who look back all the time. “

“We choose between the future and the past (…). That’s what these choices are about!” – said the candidate of the Civic Coalition.

“And the most important: you will decide soon whether you will have a strong president who will look at the authorities or if you have a president who does not even respect his own signature “ – noted Rafał Trzaskowski.
