Gianmarco Pozzeco has been punished by a suspension match or the payment of a fine of 3,000 euros for his blasphemous expressions during a time-out of the game that faced his team two weeks ago, andl Dynamo Sassari, with the Baking Bears Danish (84-91). The curious thing about the subject, apart from the reason for the sanction, is that it has been the Federal Court of the Italian Basketball Federation (equivalent to our Sole Judge or Football Competition Committee) which imposes the sanction ex officio when it was an international competition match, Basketball Champions League.
The origin of the fine is in the repeated use of Pozzeco during a time out of the expression ‘porco Dio’ (God pig), an equivalent to our ‘I shit on God’. The Italian coach, however, does not appear excessively upset in the images of the conversation with his players.
