TASS, September 10. Tampa beat New York Islanders 2-1 in second leg of the semi-finals playoffs National Hockey League (NHL). The meeting took place in Edmonton with empty stands.

Viktor Hedman (19th minute) and Nikita Kucherov (60) scored as the winners. The losers were scored by Matt Martin (2).

Kucherov now has 22 (6 goals + 16 assists) points. Tampa goalkeeper Andrey Vasilevsky made 27 saves. The defender of the team, Mikhail Sergachev, did not score points in the meeting. Islanders goalkeeper Semyon Varlamov recorded 19 reflected shots.

Vasilevsky became the best player of the match. Kucherov was recognized as the second star, Hedman was the third.

The score in the series to four wins was 2-0 in favor of Tampa. The teams will play their next match on September 12 (beginning – 03:00 Moscow time).
