The reason why a summit meeting between North Korea and Russia is predicted is because of the Eastern Economic Forum that will be held in Russia starting Sunday.
However, Russia officially confirmed that the North Korean delegation will be attending.
However, he is reticent to say anything about Chairman Kim Jong-un’s visit.

Advertisements announcing the opening of the ‘Eastern Economic Forum’ were hung everywhere in downtown Vladivostok.
Security around the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island, the venue, has also been further strengthened.
Police and soldiers were deployed, and even dangerous substance detection batons were mobilized.
The Maritime Province provincial government announced that delegations from 10 countries will attend this event, including the North Korean delegation.
However, there was no mention of who would lead the delegation or whether Chairman Kim Jong-un would use this event as an opportunity to visit Russia and meet President Putin.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed Vice Premier Jiang Guoqing’s attendance, but did not mention any contact with North Korea.

The North Korean Consulate General in Vladivostok also kept its doors tightly locked and showed no special movement.
Meanwhile, TASS news agency reported that Russia’s Deputy Minister of Defense attended an event commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the North Korean regime held in Moscow and said, “We will expand multifaceted exchanges with North Korea.”
It also included a statement by North Korea’s ambassador to Russia saying, “We will strengthen our comradeship with Russia.”
As the U.S. government is paying close attention to the possibility of arms trade through a summit between North Korea and Russia, it is interpreted as an intention to show off North Korea’s close ties with Russia.
