Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) has presented its “most powerful” gaming phone, ROG Phone 3, It incorporates up to 16GB of RAM, a 6,000mAh battery and a 144Hz screen, to offer the gaming experience of a game console.
Asus claims that ROG 3 is “the most powerful ROG phone yet.” To do this, it has been equipped with the Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 865 Plus with 5G connectivity, and Elite Gaming, which offers seamless HDR gaming experiences with sustained performance over longer periods of time.
With up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and an internal capacity of up to 512 GB UFS 3.1, Asus complements the performance of this ‘smartphone’ with the improved GameCool 3 cooling system, which has a redesigned 3D steam chamber, a graphite film behind the screen to maximize heat transfer, and an expanded heat sink designed to eliminate hot spots.
With this system, ROG Phone 3 can remove and dissipate heat generated during runtime through vents located in the back cover to maintain peak performance during long gaming sessions, eliminating device acceleration to provide gamers a competitive advantage over other devices.
The 6,000 mAh battery On the phone, it is complemented by a number of passive power saving mechanisms, including a unique hibernation feature that can proactively limit data and power usage in select applications.
In addition, the device maintains the side-mounted USB-C charging port, which allows users to keep their battery charged without affecting their style while playing.

Asus has calibrated each display by color to ensure a Delta-E color accuracy below one, making it one of the “most color accurate” displays available on a smartphone. In this way, it seeks to “guarantee that the images look exactly as the developer conceived them”.
It also has HDR10 + support high dynamic range, and for minimize eye strain, ROG Phone 3 passes TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (hardware solution) and low flicker certifications.
Asus has stressed that the design goal of the ROG Phone 3 is “fully immersive game with full control”, which retains the ergonomic style thought horizontally from its predecessors. Includes the AirTrigger 3 technology Updated, which provides ultrasonic touch controls along the edges of the phone.
ROG Phone 3 also receives an update to its audio performance, tuned in collaboration with the audio specialist Dirac. EXPANDING THE ROG PHONE COMMUNITY
The ROG Phone 3 family has a model ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition, which has the same functions intended for gaming as the ROG Phone 3. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform with an internal UFS 3.1 capacity of 256 GB and 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition will be available soon in the ASUS e-shop, at a price of 799 euros.
Asus has also presented ROG Connect, a new online community, integrated in the Armory Crate application, which allows owners of ROG Phone 3 to join and play with a friend or several.
Also, the ‘smartphone’ is accompanied by a range of modular accessoriesLike the new modular ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, which adds console-like physical controls to the ROG Phone 3, or the new ROG Lighting Armor Case, for a stunning appearance.
ROG Clip has also been introduced, to connect the phone to select console controllers. The new TwinView Dock 3 provides 144Hz dual-screen gaming on the ROG Phone 3, and the Mobile Desktop Dock allows gamers to connect a keyboard and mouse for a desktop-like gaming experience on a TV or external monitor.
ROG Phone 3 has also been partnered with Stadia and Unity to establish an integrated gaming ecosystem.
