Roman Catholic Pope Francis’ personal physician died of complications from a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
The official Vatican website reported that Fabrizio Socorsi, 78, the Pope’s personal physician, had recently died from corona19 complications. Sokorsi has been the chief physician of the Pope since 2015.
Sokorsi was hospitalized on December 26 for a pre-existing tumor disease. It is not known when he last met the Pope.
Meanwhile, Pope Francis said in an interview with Italian Channel 5 two days ago that the Vatican will begin vaccinating Corona 19 from next week, and that he will also be vaccinated.
