Polri Holds Djoko Tjandra’s Attorney, Anita Kolopaking

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Investigators from the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency detained Anita Kolopaking, the attorney convicted in the Bank Bali case Djoko Tjandra, at the Police Criminal Investigation Detention Center, Jakarta, starting this Saturday (8/8/2020).

“This morning, August 8, 2020 for the next 20 days, he will be detained at the Police Criminal Investigation Detention Center,” said Police Head of Public Information Bureau, Police Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, Saturday morning.

Awi explains, Anita detained after being examined by investigators as a suspect in an escape case Djoko Tjandra since last Friday. He said that Anita’s examination lasted until Saturday morning and there were 55 questions that were asked by investigators to Anita during the examination.

“The ADK (Anita Kolopaking) examination until 4 o’clock this morning, concerned him with 55 questions,” said Awi.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri had named Anita Kolopaking as a suspect in the case of the convicted person in the case of transfer of the right to claim Bank Bali, Djoko Sugiarto Tjandra.

He is suspected of having violated Article 263 Paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code regarding the use of forged documents and Article 223 of the Criminal Code concerning efforts to help detainees escape.
