Among the dozens of Slovak supporters who went to see Petra Vlhová at the World Cup finals in downhill skiing in France were several politicians.

The watchful eye in live television broadcasts of the final women’s slalom and the huge slalom of the season did not miss the fact that Vlhová was also encouraged at the finish by the chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Boris Kollár and deputies Ján Krošlák and Romana Tabak. Politician Richard Galovič invited Vlhov’s manager to the venue of the World Cup final.

“We arrived in Courchevel to show the representatives of the International Ski Federation (FIS) that we are behind the recently established Association of Slovak Skiing, of which Peta is a part. We did not come here to take pictures or make a living on its great success. , ” stated Ján Krošlák directly from the venue of the World Cup final according to the sport24.pluska.sk website.

After Saturday’s slalom, in which the 26-year-old Slovak took third place and later took over a small globe for a seasonal triumph in the most spinning discipline, the aforementioned three politicians with the Olympic champion from Beijing also completed the evening.

“It was a nice meeting and overall I really like this ski resort. I’ve been skiing everywhere, but I’ve never seen such a beautiful and huge resort with more than 620 kilometers of slopes.” Krošlák said.

In the end, the former successful tennis player for Pluska added: “I’ll repeat myself, but Petra and I didn’t go there to take pictures from every side and show off in photos with a small globe. Skiing is a great sport for me. I’ve been skiing since I was a child, I went to ski courses regularly with my father.”
