BANDA ACEH, KOMPAS.com – A patient at Zainal Abidin Mental Hospital (RSJ) Banda Aceh is strongly suspected of being Asep, a police officer who has been missing since the tsunami in Aceh in 2004.
This belief was strengthened after a number of Asep’s colleagues at the National Police came to the patient at the RSJ.
Head of the Aceh Regional Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Winardy, said that when he was first found, the man who was suspected of being Asep did not know the police officers who had come.

However, when the Brimob song was sung, the patient who was suspected of being Asep immediately showed the perfect attitude of the soldier.
In fact, the RSJ patient who was suspected of being Asep sang slowly.
“It looked like he was following his partner singing, but his voice was not clear, it was just buzzing,” Winardy told reporters on Saturday (20/3/2021).
Another clue emerged when the patient suspected of being Asep saw a colleague wearing a Brimob uniform.
“When he was first found, there was a member who was dressed in official clothes. When asked who he was, he called it a senior,” said Winardy.
Asep’s family, who lives in Lampung, believes that the patient at the RSJ is Asep, a policeman who has been missing since the big earthquake and tsunami in Aceh.
The family said that when viewed through photos, there were signs and physical features that were identical to Asep.
However, according to Winardy, certainty that the patient is Asep must wait for verification through DNA testing.
According to information, before being treated at RSJ Banda Aceh, the patient was neglected and neglected.
