Police send text messages to 2300 people about sex offense Roden

Some 2300 people received a text message from the police today asking whether they know more about a sex offense in Roden, Drenthe. In mid-June, a 5-year-old girl was abused there by an unknown man.

The police hope to find more witnesses with the text bomb. Everyone who was near the scene of the abuse between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm received a message.

The 5-year-old victim was playing with a girlfriend in an alley near a playground when the man addressed them. He then abused one of the girls.

Earlier attention was also paid to the case in Investigation Requested. The program showed clear images of the suspect. It yielded 120 tips, but no arrests have been made yet, reports RTV North.
