Police officers secured the tracks on the Kleine Schanze in Bern on Wednesday morning.

After the discussion, the Bern cantonal police were alerted on Tuesday evening around 11:25 pm, as announced on Wednesday. On the Kleine Schanze, emergency services found an injured man who they treated with emergency medical care. The ambulance took him to the hospital. This is an Afghan citizen who was injured “with a dangerous object,” a police spokesman said on request. He did not provide further details.
Subsequently, four men were provisionally arrested who are said to have been involved in the altercation. They are Algerians between the ages of 17 and 33. According to the police, further investigations are ongoing.
Parts of the Kleine Schanze not far from the Bundeshaus were not accessible on Wednesday mornings. The police had cordoned her off to secure evidence.
