Probolinggo Resort Police, East Java secure seven suspects suspected of distributing the video hoaks about the body of a positive patient covid-19 his eye organs were removed in Alastengah village.
The suspect consisted of six men and one woman, namely SD (33), MS (28), RH (24), SF (24), and ML (25). They are residents of Paiton District.

“We managed to secure seven people who were suspected of participating in spreading hoax videos about the bodies of the positive Covid-19 patients whose eyes had their eyes plucked out,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Probolinggo Police, AKP Rizki Santoso, as quoted from Among, Saturday (7/11).
Apart from the seven people, he added that his party was still investigating and tracing the involvement of other actors in the case.
“The status of the seven residents who were secured is still limited to witnesses,” he said.
Meanwhile, a family of positive patients who died, Ainur Huda, said the video that was circulating stating that M’s mother’s eye was missing was not true. The family witnessed the depicting of the body.
“I saw for myself when the corpse was worn and there were no missing organs because all the organs were complete, while the blood that came out came from the nose,” he said.
He explained that the deceased had a long history of hypertension and stroke and was hospitalized for several days.
“The family opened the covid-19 patient’s coffin because the mother wanted to see the child’s body one last time and when it was opened the condition of the body was bleeding from the nose,” he said.
Previously, a 12-second video showed the body of a COVID-19 patient arriving at the funeral home, but when the video was uploaded to social media, the uploader included a narrative that the body had lost its eyes.
