An investigation into clashes between two groups, which involved firearms, a year ago, in the neighborhood of Cruz Vermelha, in Alcabideche, culminated, this Wednesday morning, in a mega-operation of the GNR, during which four suspects were identified and confiscated firearms and firearms, in addition to drugs.
According to the digital newspaper “Cascais24”, this operation had about 70 GNR operatives, including the Intervention Unit, and also the reinforcement of the PSP. Four home searches and two vehicle searches were carried out in the parish of Alcabideche (Cascais) and in Rio de Mouro (Sintra).
In the searches, it was possible to identify four suspects involved in the incidents a year ago. They are aged between 19 and 25 years old and all of them have a criminal record for drug trafficking, robberies and offenses against physical integrity using firearms.
This offensive allowed the authorities to confiscate two firearms, one of which was a sawed-barrel shotgun, as well as seven cartridges and three bladed weapons, one of which was machete, in addition to 903 doses of MDMA and 83 doses of heroin;
According to Ricardo Silva, commander of the Detachment of the GNR of Sintra, “the identified individuals were constituted defendants, and the facts were referred to the Cascais Judicial Court”.
