Police Leader Calls Members Shocked and Desperate After Shooting FPI Troops

This was stated by Resa when he was presented as witnesses in the trial of extrajudicial killings with the defendants First Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan and Ipda Mohammad Yusmin at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel).

At first, the Prosecutor asked about any witnesses that Resa saw when he came to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta a few hours after the shooting incident took place. Resa admitted that at that time she met the three alleged perpetrators, namely Fikri, Yusmin, and Ipda Elwira Priadi. Z (deceased) in the foyer of the Forensic Room of the Police Hospital.

Resa admitted that she didn’t ask many questions because seeing the condition of her three subordinates, they were tired and shocked.

“I didn’t ask much, because I saw that they were still tired and in shock,” said Resa.

“How did you know it was shock?” asked the Prosecutor.

“Because silent and gloomy,” replied Resa.

“Does that silence have to be called shock?” said the Prosecutor.

“Yes, I think so,” said Resa.

On that occasion, the Prosecutor also slammed Resa’s confession that he gave instructions to the defendant on the purpose of directing the activities of his members that night.

“So the purpose is to give that direction to do what activities?” asked the Prosecutor in the Main Session Room of the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (16/11).

Resa then replied that the direction was given in relation to monitoring the mass gathering of sympathizers of the former FPI leader, Rizieq Shihab. They are suspected of whitewashing the Polda Metro Jaya and accompanying Rizieq.

“To monitor the pockets of the masses who are suspected of gathering mass in accompanying Muhammad Rizieq Shihab to the Polda Metro Jaya on Monday 7 (December 2020),” replied Resa.

The prosecutor then again questioned Resa about whether the officers’ actions were only to monitor. He also asked if the police could take any action other than monitoring.

Resa said that apart from monitoring, the Metro Jaya Police Resmob team was also looking for the whereabouts of Rizieq Shihab.

“Then find out the whereabouts of Muhammad Rizieq SHihab,” said Resa.

“Well, apart from finding out what other actions can or not?” asked the Prosecutor.

“No,” replied Resa curtly.

Previously, six FPI members were involved in a chase and shootout with members of the police from the Polda Metro Jaya. The incident occurred in front of the Novotel Hotel, Jalan Interchange, Karawang, West Java to the KM 50 area of ​​the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

The prosecutor said that six members of Laskar FPI were shot at close range and killed by three members of the Polda Metro Jaya, namely Ipda Elwira Priadi Z., First Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan, and Ipda Mohammad Yusmin.

The public prosecutor then charged two members of the Polda Metro Jaya Brigadier Fikri Ramadhan and Ipda Mohammad Yusmin with violating Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding intentional murder in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.

In addition, they were also charged with Article 351 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution resulting in death. Meanwhile, Elwira was declared dead in an accident that occurred in January. However, the two police officers who killed the FPI members were not arrested to this day.
