Police in France were dispersing techno party participants, one of whom lost his hand

The organizers of the party organized a racecourse near the town of Redon in Brittany. “For several hours, the law enforcement forces had to deal with violent individuals who did not want to leave the place,” the police said in a statement, according to which about 400 members of the security forces took part in the intervention.

According to AFP sources, some participants threw incendiary bottles, petanque balls and pieces of brick at police officers. The local prefecture said that the music stopped playing on Friday night, but some visitors remained on the site this morning.

In France, there is a nationwide night curfew from mid-December, in the winter months people were not allowed to move outside from six in the evening. With the recent retreat of the pandemic, the authorities are gradually relaxing the rules, with the complete lifting of this movement restriction planned for this Sunday.
