German police found the bodies of five people – two adults and three children – in a residential building south of Berlin on Saturday, authorities said.
The corpses found in the Königswusterhausen house were shot and stabbed, senior prosecutor Gernot Bantleon told DPA.
Before receiving a phone call at 12 noon, a spokesman for the Southern Police Directorate told the press. According to the caller, it seemed unusual to him that the inhabitants of the Zenciga County House could not be seen anywhere.
“We are working on the assumption that it is a murder,” a police spokesman said.
Forensic experts work at the scene and the street on which the house is located is blocked.
