That Friday evening and in the night from Friday to Saturday in several places in the country ‘crown‘are held, leads to incomprehension by the police.
In Utrecht, a party curled up on the Oudegracht, where more than fifty people did not adhere to the corona rules. To end the party, the police had to use batons.
“We find it incomprehensible that there are still people who do not care about the necessary measures. And that we sometimes even have to use force in order to be able to act properly in such incidents,” the police wrote in a statement.
“We all have to reduce this virus, but this will make it very difficult.”
The Utrecht mayor Peter den Oudsten finds it a “shame” that the police and boas had to use batons to end the party. He emphasizes in addition, that the police continue to enforce strict.

Illegal parties were not only brought to an end in Utrecht. In Rotterdam, thirty students refused to open the door to the police. They also tried to hide in the garden of the building.
“We have tried to explain a few things,” writes the Rotterdam police Facebook. “But we didn’t get any understanding from the vast majority of the students. Because: didn’t we have anything better to do?
A party was also rolled up in Angerlo, near Doesburg. In Dordrecht, nineteen young people received a coupon.
