The practice of abortion in apartments in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, it was demolished by the police. Five people were arrested from the apartment.
This case was discovered after the police received information about the practice of abortion in the apartment. On Thursday (14/12), the police then went to the apartment and arrested the perpetrators.
The abortion had been going on for 2 months. During that time, the perpetrators has aborted dozens of fetuses.
5 People Become Suspects
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Gidion Arif Setyawan said that from that location, the police arrested a number of perpetrators.
“There are five suspects who have been arrested,” Gidion told reporters, Wednesday (20/12).
Meanwhile, Kelapa Gading Police Chief Commissioner Maulana Mukarom said the five suspects are women those are D (49), OIS (42), AF (43), AAF (18), and S (33).
“The role of this suspect is that he claims to be a doctor, assistant, then parent and patient,” said Maulana.
The Role of the Five Suspects
Kelapa Gading Police Chief Commissioner Maulana Mukarom said the five suspects were all women who played roles ‘doctor’ to a patient who performs an abortion.
“This suspect’s role is that some claim to be executor, assistant, then parent and patient,” said Maulana.
“D is actually not a doctor and he also doesn’t have a medical background. He only graduated from high school,” he added.
The following is a list of suspects and their roles:
1. Initials D (49), performs abortion in position as executor but has no education in the medical field
2. Initials OIS (42), plays a role in helping to carry out abortions, but has no education in the field
3. Initials AF (43), parents of suspect AAF (18) who ordered their child to have an abortion
4. Initials AAF (18), patient who aborted her pregnancy
5. Initials S (33), patient who aborted her pregnancy.
