From the hospital, he reported that the perpetrators must be found in the Jalisco New Generation drug cartel, one of Mexico’s most powerful and violent cartels. “Our country continues to fight cowardly organized crime,” said García.
The Jalisco Cartel has carried out multiple attacks on the police and the military in recent years. So became in 2015 an army helicopter was brought down by the cartel and last year 13 officers shot dead in an ambush.
