An accident near Ādaži caused a congestion several kilometers long – in Latvia

A major traffic jam on the Tallinn highway caused a road accident near Ādaži on Saturday at noon, eyewitnesses said.

The accident happened near the Gauja bridge. As LETA learned from the State Police, according to initial information, four people were injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a Mercedes-Benz car. Until the consequences of the accident were eliminated, traffic was regulated by the police at the scene.

According to the agency LETA, the traffic flow in the direction of Saulkrasti is high on Saturday, therefore a congestion several kilometers long has formed near Ādaži.

It has already been reported that due to a traffic accident, traffic on the Jūrmala highway in the direction of Jūrmala has been slowed down this afternoon.

According to the agency LETA, on the Jūrmala highway, driving in the direction of Jūrmala, shortly after the turn to the Riga bypass and Liepāja, a collision of several cars took place, due to which a congestion has started, which starts even before the viaduct.

It takes about 15 extra minutes to cross the congested road.
