Police Ask Residents to Stop Sharing Photos of House Explosion Victims in Pandeglang

A resident named Ulung (38) in Pandeglang, Banten, died in a deadly explosion that occurred inside his own house. Police ask residents to stop spreading photos of victims deadly explosion that.

In the midst of the investigation, it was discovered that photos of the victim’s body were widely distributed to WhatsApp groups of residents in Pandeglang. The police also asked residents to stop spreading the photo in order to protect the feelings of the victim’s family.

“Anyone who gets the documentation, especially regarding the victim, stop spreading it again. We ask for your help to take care of the feelings of the victim’s family,” said Cimanggu Police Chief, Iptu Darwin Khairul Syafari to detik.com, Banten, Monday (10/1/2022).

It is not yet known for sure where the photos of the victims of this explosion were spread to WhatsApp groups. However, Darwin asked that the photos not be published again while waiting for the results of the investigation from the police.

“If someone has already shared the photo, it’s enough for you, don’t share it again. The police are currently processing the crime scene, the identification process is still ongoing to reveal the cause of the explosion,” he said.

The previous explosion occurred in Cisaat Village, Tangkilsari Village, Cimanggu District, Pandeglang, Banten. As a result, one unit of a resident’s house was destroyed by the explosion.

The explosion killed a resident of the house there. The victim died in a broken body condition.

The victim’s wife named Lina (36) and a child were declared safe in the deadly incident. They were then rushed to the nearest health center for medical assistance.
