The attack took place at the beginning of October in Vladislavova Street in Prague 1. The 29-year-old attacked man was in direct danger of death after the attack, and rescuers took him to the hospital in serious condition.

“Thanks to long-term intensive activity, criminal investigators managed to find out that the possible attacker is the 27-year-old wanted Bachuki Jalagonia from Georgia, who has already been convicted of similar violent crime in the past,” said police spokeswoman Eva Kropáčová.

Criminalists have described the attack as a crime of grievous bodily harm, where the perpetrator faces up to 12 years behind bars if he is found guilty. The police took suspicious measures at the borders of the Czech Republic and the Schengen area due to the possible escape of the suspect.
