Athlé Vosges Vallée des Lacs et de la Cleurie had the pleasure of returning to the Pierre & Paul Didier gymnasium this Saturday afternoon as part of the traditional pole vault meeting which usually launches the indoor season.

meeting perche athlete Vosges Gérardmer (1)Indeed, the president of the club Michel Lavest as well as the master of ceremonies Philippe Leroy did not hide their pleasure to be able to once again organize this sporting meeting after a certain period of scarcity linked to the health crisis. The last indoor competition organized by the local was in February 2020, it was the day dedicated to disabled sport which had also been a great success. It is the same for this meeting in which 5 clubs participated including 3 sections of Athlé Vosges, the GA Haut Saônois club of Vesoul as well as the COHM (Club Olympique Haute Moselotte), all for 19 athletes entered in total: 10 girls and 9 boys, a record of participation.

“Some will discover the competition, others will make adjustments and settle in for the approaching winter meetings, specified Michel Lavest. This was particularly the case for Amélie Perrin (Athlé Vosges Remiremont) or Arthur Schild (Athlé Metz Metropole), big favorite and regular at this meeting which he has already won several times. The two favorites have also kept their rank by climbing logically on the first step of the podium with a jump of 3 meters for Perrin and, it is a habit, a jump of 4m40 for Schild. In parallel with the competition, it should also be noted that a free Kid Stadium entertainment was offered to children. It offered the possibility of learning to pole vault and was supervised by Stéphane Dufays, development agent of the departmental athletics committee. The next meeting for Athlé Vosges will be scheduled this time outdoors, probably the last before the first snowfall, it will be at Xonrupt-Longemer at the beginning of December for a cross country dedicated to children.
