MANCHESTEROle Gunnar Solskjaer spoke about the actions of Paul Pogba and Amad Diallo, who raised the Palestinian flag at Old Trafford Stadium after Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw against Fulham, Wednesday (19/5/2021) in the morning WIB.

Pogba flying the Palestinian flag and his United teammate, Amad, showed solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the ongoing conflict with Israel. Pogba and Amad are not the first players to show support for Palestine.

Responding to the actions of Pogba and Amad, Solskjaer did not question it. And he admits that he respects their views.

“We have players from different backgrounds, different cultures, different countries. I think we need to respect their views if they are different from other people’s views. If my players think about other things besides football, that’s a positive thing,” said Solskjaer. Evening Standard.

“I think we’ve seen that with some players before, that they really care about, say Marcus Rashford, for example, the difference he makes. We respect their right to have different views,” concluded Solskjaer.
