An 84-year-old woman died this Friday as a result of the attack by her own dog, a pit bull, in the city of Margate, Florida (USA), local media reported.
Another victim of the animal’s ferocity was the son of the deceased, who suffered serious injuries after being bitten in the eye, face and arm when trying to save his mother. The 57-year-old man was initially hospitalized, however the next day he was discharged and is now with a family friend.
The dog is in custody at the local animal control service. The causes of the attack are being investigated by the Police.
