Piraeus: Two arrests for operating a drug counterfeiting laboratory – 2024-03-12 13:51:10

A 51-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were arrested on Wednesday afternoon (6/3) in Piraeus by police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution sub-directorate, of the Attica Security Directorate, who had set up a drug counterfeiting and reprinting laboratory in an apartment in the center of Athens, inside which was found heavy armament.

A case file was filed against the arrested for violation of the legislation on addictive substances and on weapons.

According to ELAS, following the utilization of information regarding the activity of individuals who were active in the trafficking of cocaine, heroin and hashish oil in the wider area of ​​Attica, the accused were located and their criminal activity certified.

After a search on them, in their house as well as in the apartment where they had set up a laboratory for counterfeiting and repurposing drugs, the following were found and confiscated:

  • 0.5 grams of cocaine in a makeshift nylon package,
  • 229.5 grams of heroin (69.5 of which were divided into 10 improvised nylon packages),
  • 287.9 ​​grams hashish oil,
  • 60 medicinal tablets,
  • 9.635 grams white powder of unknown chemical composition,
  • 47,850 grams gray rock blocks suitable for adulterating heroin,
  • 3 pistols,
  • 2 revolvers,
  • 2 battle rifles,
  • 1 shotgun,
  • 1 muffler,
  • folding knife,
  • bayonet,
  • 3,476 cartridges,
  • 80 unfired cartridges,
  • 12 magazines,
  • 21 detonators,
  • 500 grams solid explosive,
  • 4 slow-burning wicks,
  • 2 pairs of handcuffs,
  • 7,790 euros, 440 Swiss francs, 20 US dollars. and 16 gold pounds,
  • 5 mobile phones,
  • 6 precision electronic scales,
  • banknote counter,
  • Cartridge Refilling Machine,
  • Electric Gunpowder Doser,
  • 8 diopters,
  • Weapon mount tripod,
  • Nylon packaging and
  • Complete heroin adulteration and repackaging equipment.

The arrested persons, with the case filed against them, were taken to the criminal prosecutor of Athens.
