Pfizer, which announced this week that it could supply a corona vaccine that is as much as 95 percent effective, does not want to give up its patent protection. This gives the American pharmaceutical company the exclusive right to produce the vaccine. The Netherlands has now purchased 7.8 million doses of the vaccine from the pharmaceutical industry.
