PETROM and CIH Bank join forces and launch a new mobile payment method at PETROM service stations | | Consonews

PETROM, a benchmark national player in the hydrocarbon distribution sector in Morocco, announces the launch of mobile payment in partnership with CIH Bank. This service will be gradually rolled out across its network, with more than 280 petrol stations throughout the country.

At the same time innovative, practical and secure, this new means of payment offers the customer the possibility of paying for their purchases of products and / or services at the pump or in a shop, as an alternative to payment in cash or by bank card. To benefit from this, the client must have an M-Wallet (electronic wallet) from a banking operator or a payment institution.

“This interoperable solution was developed and implemented in close collaboration with CIH Bank and will be enriched by other value-added services intended for customers, such as payment services in collaboration with the payment establishment subsidiary of CIH BANK , LANA CASH and in particular:

· Enrolling clients,
· Payment and withdrawal,
· Money transfer,
· Payment of invoices… ”

Through this partnership, PETROM and CIH Bank are committed to the creation of a pioneering collaboration model, in terms of technological and financial innovation.

“The objective of such cooperation is to launch a new form of Moroccan-Moroccan collaboration to accelerate the process of digitalization of our entire value chain, to the great benefit of partners and customers” says Mr Issam Alloul, Director of PETROM information systems.
