“At the start I become a tiger,” says the Slovakian.

Love is still fresh. And yet it seems to inspire Petra Vlhova. The 24-year-old Slovakian has been in firm hands since last summer. Her adored person is called Michal Kyselica. There is not much information about the couple.
–
Kyselica is said to be a marketing manager – even if he looks more like a martial artist. The fact is: Vlhova is happy. And fast. She takes 1.31 seconds from the slalom queen Mikaela Shiffrin (USA) in Zagreb and prevents her fifth victory on the Bear Mountain. «Today I felt great in the morning. In both runs I haven’t made a single mistake. I was often second here, now finally first », says Vlhova happily.

“At the start I become a tiger”
The giant slalom world champion turns out to be more and more the only driver who can constantly challenge Shiffrin and sometimes beat her. The record of the last 24 World Cup slaloms speaks volumes: 19 wins for Shiffrin, 5 for Vlhova.
–
The Slovakian is considered the strongest of all slalom riders. Anything else would not meet the demands of her trainer Livio Magoni – he once led Tina Maze to hero status. The Italian has the reputation of being a tough coach. And Vlhova? She once said: “At the start I will become a tiger.” Her claws leave clear marks in Zagreb.
