Peru: “This is not the time to open international flights,” says minist

This is not the right time for airlines to resume the operation of international flights, because it has not been possible to control the spread of the said the Minister of Transport and Communications (MTC), Carlos Estremadoyro.

The minister’s statements came when he was supervising the progress in the construction of Line 2 of the Lima Metro in the Bellavista district, in Callao.

“It is not that this is going to benefit us financially, it is not that it is a great contribution. Nobody anywhere in the world wants to travel for leisure, that will only happen in the middle of next year. That gives us time to prepare ourselves from a health point of view ”, added.

Regarding the progress on Line 2 of the Lima Metro, Estremadoyro announced that by the end of the current Government (July 2021) the first five kilometers of the aforementioned project will have been completed, from the Santa Anita oval to the San Juan Clinic of God.
