Sohan, the coldest season of the year, paid for its name.

The daytime temperature in Seoul is 3.5 degrees below zero.

With the blowing of the wind, the temperature felt at -10 degrees Celsius was colder in the day than in the morning.

This is because the powerful cold that was trapped in the North Pole pushes to mid-latitudes.

Again, it is expected that the temperature will drop significantly as the cold season will intensively fall southward in East Asia including Korea.

From this morning, the temperature in Seoul will drop below -10 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow is -14 degrees Celsius, and on Friday–17 degrees Celsius is plunging, and it will be the coldest this winter.

Along with the Arctic cold wave, heavy snow will be accompanied.

First of all, between tonight and tomorrow morning, snow clouds on the sea will come inland, and heavy snow will pour over most regions of the country except for Yeongnam.

Next, from tomorrow morning, heavy snow will be concentrated in the west coast, Jeju Island, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and it is expected that up to 50cm will accumulate.

As the cold wave continued from the end of last year, damages such as freezing accidents and the death of fish at farms are expected to occur this week.

In addition, people with cold diseases such as frostbite and hypothermia occur, and there are concerns about damage to facilities such as greenhouses due to heavy snowfall, and traffic inconvenience such as flight cancellations and sliding accidents.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that the coldest, the worst in three years since 2018, will continue until Sunday and will ease slightly.
