The Municipality of Lima sent the 9 draft addenda to transfer the contractual position related to the Metropolitan’s concession contracts to the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to complete the process of transferring the functions of Protransporte to the Urban Transport Authority for Lima. and Callao (ATU).
Thus, the MEF must issue an opinion within 7 days, which are counted from today. Likewise, the capital commune detailed that on July 10, after more than 6 months of negotiations with the Metropolitano concessionaires, the technical team of Protransporte managed to sign the addendum projects.
They include anti-corruption clauses that, although not mandatory in accordance with the law, are a clear example of transparency on the part of municipal management.
Upon approval of the MEF, Protransporte, the ATU and the concessionaires will sign all the addenda, thus culminating the process of merger by absorption of Protransporte to the ATU, which will henceforth assume the powers of the Metropolitan and complementary corridors.
On the other hand, the capital city specified that on March 3, the addenda to the contractual position of the concession contracts of the complementary brokers had already received the favorable opinion of the MEF.
