Pertamina to Sell Only Three BBM Products in 2024: CNN Indonesia

PT Pertamina (Persero) will only sell three fuel oil products (BBM) next year. This goes hand in hand with deletion pertalite from 2024.

“Later on next year we will only sell 3 products (fuel),” said Main Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VII DPR RI, Wednesday (30/8).

The three BBM products that will be sold next year are: FirstPertamax green 92. This is a substitute for pertalite, which is a mixture of RON 90 (pertalite) and 7 percent bioethanol (E7).

Second, Pertamax Green 95 next year. This is a mixture of Pertamax and 8 percent ethanol.

Third, Pertamax Turbo, which is currently being sold by Pertamina. This is Pertamina’s flagship product with the highest RON, namely 98.

“So, there are 2 green gasoline, green energy, low carbon which are new products from Pertamina,” he explained.

Nicke said he would remove pertalite fuel because the RON was too low, namely 90. Meanwhile, referring to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry regulation number P.20 of 2017, at least gasoline sold in Indonesia must be 91 octane.

“Because of KLHK regulations the minimum octane number that can be sold in Indonesia is 91. So this is very fitting. One, environmental aspects can reduce carbon emissions. Second, we can fulfill the mandatory bioethanol. Third, we reduce gasoline imports,” concluded Nicke.
