PT Pertamina (Persero) lowered the price of fuel oil (BBM) type Pertalite to IDR 6,450 per liter. However, this decline in Pertalite prices only applies to 38 gas stations in South Tangerang.
This means that consumers who live outside Tangsel must pay Pertalite at the normal price, which is Rp7,650. Meanwhile, consumers in Tangsel can enjoy Pertalite prices which are equivalent to Premium types of fuel.
Pertamina’s Unit Manager Communication Relations and Marketing Operation Region III Eko Kristiawan said Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) III is imposing a discount price in the framework of the Blue Sky program.
This promo is part of the Blue Sky program which was previously implemented in Denpasar, last July.
“This promo is valid at 38 gas stations in the South Tangerang area for consumers of two-wheeled and three-wheeled motorized vehicles, city public transportation (angkot), including yellow-plate taxis,” he said in an official statement quoted on Monday (14/9).
He continues this program invites the public to use quality fuel and supports the government in controlling air pollution according to Government Regulation 41/1999.
According to Eko, efforts to reduce air pollution can be done through controlling motor vehicle exhaust emissions. One of them, by using higher quality and environmentally friendly fuel.
“This is also in line with the aspirations of the City Government of South Tangerang to create a healthy environment. We hope that people will play an active role in using higher quality fuel and make South Tangerang’s sky blue,” he explained.
Pertamina means quality fuel, namely oil with high octane (RON) content. This type of fuel is more environmentally friendly because it has low emissions. In addition to the reasons, quality fuel will have an impact on vehicle performance and economy.
“Pertamina continues to encourage the use of quality fuel products, such as Pertalite with RON 90, Pertamax RON 92, and Pertamax Turbo RON 98,” he said.
