Jakarta

Having a permanent job at a well-known company doesn’t make this employee stop trying. Every weekend he sells pasta on the side of the road.

Most people prefer office jobs to selling street food on the side of the road. Apart from office work being considered more prestigious, the income is also more stable than selling street food which has its ups and downs.

Reporting from Storypick (25/09), there was an office employee who decided to sell food to continue his dreams. This office employee is named Dhruvi Panchal from Ahmedabad, India.

Every day this young woman works as a pharmacy employee at Zydus Hospital. He is a graduate who has a pretty good career, so it is not difficult for him to find work.

But every weekend, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays, he always opens a simple cart to cook and sell pasta on the roadside in Cept Khau Gali from 18.30 – 23.00 at night.

Dhruvi is not proud when he has to sell street food pasta. For him, no matter how small his business is, what is important is the business he founded himself. The menu offered is also varied, there are several types of pasta, one of the mainstay menus is Mac and Cheese.

He himself learned to cook since childhood. So he is already familiar with various types of spices, cooking utensils, and even food menus that he has been used to preparing for a long time.

Until now, he prepares all the food ingredients, spices and cooking utensils himself to sell. The pasta menu is also made immediately when someone orders, so the quality and taste are still guaranteed with the characteristic creamy white sauce.

The price of the pasta is affordable, a portion of vegetable macaroni is only Rs 40 (Rp. 7,500), while for macaroni with a delicious melted cheese topping it is only Rs 60 (Rp. 11,000).

“The reason why I chose to sell pasta in this area is because this is a place where young people gather. Apart from that, it has been my dream since I was little to cook and sell delicious food to people,” concluded Dhruvi.

Previously there was also an inspiring story from a former factory employee, who is now achieving a large turnover by selling cireng and cimol. In fact, within six months, this former factory employee had opened two branches with satisfactory results.
