Pentagon announces additional military aid to Ukraine

US to provide Ukraine with $300 million more military aid

To date, the United States has already provided more than $2.3 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, including more than $1.6 billion since the start of the Russian invasion.

The Pentagon intends to allocate additional military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $300 million. On Friday, April 1st, in a press release on the US Department of Defense website.

“This decision underlines the unwavering commitment of the United States to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in support of its heroic efforts to repel Russia,” the release reads.

They noted that we are talking about such types of weapons as:

  • Missile systems with laser guidance

  • Tactical UAV Switchblade

  • UAV Puma

  • Armored highly mobile multi-purpose vehicles

  • Ammunition of small and large calibers

  • Night vision devices, thermal imagers

  • Tactical defense communication systems

  • Commercial satellite imagery services

  • Medicines, field equipment and the like.

“This announcement is the beginning of the process of concluding contracts for the provision of new capabilities to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the US Department of Defense noted.

It is noted that to date, the United States has already allocated more than $2.3 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, including more than $1.6 billion after the start of the Russian invasion.

Earlier it was reported that the United States will transfer equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including chemical protection kits.
