Pedro Sánchez announces the approval of a € 200 million plan for La Palma | Politics

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Sunday on La Palma a plan of 200 million euros to facilitate the reconstruction of the island. The leader of the Executive has assured that this package of measures will also serve to recover the “supply of water, employment, agriculture, tourism sector and tax benefits.”

The president, however, has asked the island’s neighbors for patience. “We do not know when this will end,” Sánchez assured, although he stressed that the island will have the support of all the institutions for as long as necessary.

The President of the Executive’s commitment has also gone through ensuring the safety not only of the islanders, but also of tourists. “We have to transfer that security so that tourists who wish to come are clear that La Palma is a safe place. We are working on it from all institutions,” he assured.

But in addition to patience, Sánchez has also asked for peace of mind for the islanders, to whom he has assured that all administrations have committed to find solutions as soon as possible. “Peace of mind for the palm trees and palm trees, who will not be left behind. In this sense, the strength and determination of the neighbors is exemplary. I know it is difficult to ask for patience because we do not know what we are going to face, but they are not going to be left behind, “said the president.

The attitude of the palm trees has been especially praised by the President of the Government, together with the leader of the Canarian Executive. All the administrations have recognized the work of the neighbors during the most complicated moments of the eruption. “I would like to underline the commitment of the Palm tree citizens with a common and exemplary response to the eruption. That there has been no personal injury is thanks to that exemplary behavior of all,” Sánchez stressed.
