After the great success last year, commentators Pedro Elias and Wesley Sonck and production house Woestijnvis travel with their container throughout Flanders to once again receive Belgian top athletes and push them to the limit.
The concept of The Container Cup remains unchanged: top athletes and Flemish celebrities compete daily in an equally heroic and unique heptathlon: rowing, running, shooting, climbing, golf, cycling and weightlifting. And they all do that in a metal container measuring 12 by 2.2 meters. They only get one assignment: to shoot as fast and as hard as possible on each part to achieve the best time and score over the entire course. Last year cyclist Mathieu van der Poel won in the men. Sprintster Hanne Claes was the strongest among the women.
