The switch from Rico Strieder to PEC Zwolle has been completed. The German midfielder is definitively taken over from FC Utrecht and will sign for two years in Zwolle.
Strieder already played on a rental basis for PEC last year and he managed to convince. “It feels good to extend my short adventure in Zwolle. I have received a clear assignment from the club that I have tried to fill in as well as possible,” says Strieder on the PEC club site.
“It was absolutely a damper that we could not finish the season in a good way together, but this return makes up for it. I know the club by now and many teammates will be back next season. I am looking forward to it very much off to take my place in midfield and take even more responsibility. “
“Rico has brought exactly what he asked and needed at the time in the games he played in the past six months,” explains PEC technical manager Mike Willems. “We also saw what we saw in our scouting reports on the field; a strong, defensive-minded midfielder who ensured the right balance in our midfield. With his qualities, Rico is able to make teammates better and is confident with the approaching departure a welcome reinforcement from Gustavo Hamer. “
