Peat, bulldozer of hearts – Feminacida

“Everything begins as in the beginning of always that everything begins. Naked. I naked as the neck of a hen. Me with my skin on in the desert and the beginning of the worst: a handshake and a stab of meat in my mouth”

Mob, bulldozer of hearts I am

Crowd is a play devised by Iride Mockert, written by Laura Sbdar and directed by Alejandra Flechner. A power trio that results in an impressive piece. The theme is human trafficking and the search for identity. A production loaded with poetry, music and a physical delivery rarely seen.

The play tells the story of a mutual search, from a mother, Turba, to a daughter, La Plomito. Both played by the immense actress Iride Mockert. Her work is not only impressive for its stage presence, but also for its rhythm and vocal work.

“My Plomite coming out with her hands hooked to her uterus and the 128 that takes her flying. But not. The man was wrong. I will not allow. I am a brute that disturbs from the dry weeds to the black snow to find my baby. I am a brute that disturbs hearts, I am the queen of the land”

Laura Sbdar’s dramaturgy strikes the right balance between poetry and harsh reality. Recreating a world difficult to contemplate, even knowing that it is a fiction.

Laura Copertino’s set design clearly tells of two isolated worlds. On one side Turba, on the other La Plomite. Both kidnapped and looking for each other. In the middle there is an abyss, darkness. The guts and female complicity as the only connection, as the only salvation.

The musical composition of Javier Estrin and Iride Mockert is excellent, passing through different states and helping the public to follow the story in a more enjoyable way. The music present from beginning to end is appreciated.

“I am a bulldozer of hearts, yes, and in saying, I am stealing land from the desert in the release and release the voices of all the women of my skins, I approach by making live and I bury by letting die”, sings Turba . But she also screams and denounces.
