As I mentioned when Hogwarts Legacy broke records on Twitch, talk of boycotting games often has the opposite effect of what the complainants want, and the same applies to that extent here.
Variety has been honored to reveal that Hogwarts Legacy has already sold 12 million copies. So this has been done in less than two weeks and even though it is only available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series at the moment. Warner Bros. Discovery probably cheers extra loudly since it is also noted that the franchise in general has received three times as much attention as usual in the first ten days of February, so the game must have made more people go back to the movies and buy other things as well.
