The government only recognizes the results of the RT-PCR from 742 laboratories as a requirement for passengers who want to travel by plane. Those hundreds of laboratories are affiliated with Ministry of Health.
This list of laboratories is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/Menkes/4642/2021 concerning the Organization of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Examination Laboratory.
Laboratories that have not entered data into the New All Record (NAR) or that have not been registered with the Ministry of Health, the RT-PCR results issued will not be recognized. This is effective starting today, Monday (12/7).
So, what is the price for RT-PCR set by the government?
The Ministry of Health sets the highest tariff limit for RT-PCR examinations in Circular Number HK.02.02/1/3713/2020. The highest limit for the RT-PCR examination including swab collection is IDR 900 thousand.
The highest tariff limit applies to people who carry out RT-PCR examinations at their own request or independently.
However, this highest tariff limit does not apply to contact tracing activities for referrals for Covid-19 cases to hospitals whose implementation receives RT-PCR examination assistance from the government. This means that the price of the RT-PCR tariff has the potential to be cheaper.
Meanwhile, the government has also set the highest tariff for rapid antigen testing. This rule is contained in Circular Letter Number HK.02.02/I/4611/2020 concerning the Highest Tariff Limit for Antigen-Swab Rapid Test Examination.
The highest tariff for rapid antigen-swab tests is divided into two criteria, tariffs in Java and outside Java. Prices outside Java are more expensive.
The Ministry of Health has set the highest tariff for rapid antigen-swab tests in Java at IDR 250,000. Meanwhile, the highest tariff outside Java is IDR 275 thousand.
This highest rate applies to people who carry out rapid antigen-swab tests at their own request which are carried out in health service facilities such as hospitals and laboratories.
However, this highest rate does not apply to health care facilities that receive equipment assistance from the government.
