In May 2019, Patrick Sébastien presented his latest “Largest cabaret in the world“after more than 23 years. The management of France 2 has chosen to separate from the ultra-popular host. The latter confided in this unexpected departure in an interview with Télé Star, on newsstands on June 29.
“I spent thirty fabulous years on television and five of shit. I’m really happy with what I’ve done, but this world is behind me. TV has changed too much“. He adds:”Today, office guys have the power to censor. And these guys have a deep contempt for my audience.”
Patrick Sébastien confides in his financial problems
Patrick Sébastien explains that he has drawn a line under his career as an animator. However, this period of his life which ended caused other financial problems. “It makes me a huge financial hole, but freedom comes at a price.” However, he has a project for television: “During the confinement, I invented a TV game, Culture People, which I will offer to animators whom I like”
Since June 18, his book “I moved the elephant“is available in bookstores. This autobiography deals in particular with his eviction from France 2, but above all gives access to the intimacy of the sexagenarian. A good way to discover it in more depth. He will also travel throughout France at the start of the school year, to the tour of the “Biggest cabaret in the world.” He is also preparing to release a new album and is writing a new play! One thing is certain, Patrick Sébastien has no shortage of projects!
