Paris Hilton has had several violent boyfriends. The hotel heiress and reality star says five of her exes abused her during their relationship. “I was strangled, beaten, held aggressively. I’ve taken things that no one should put up with, ”Paris tells People magazine.

In the documentary ‘This Is Paris’, which can be seen on Hilton’s YouTube channel from 14 September, the 39-year-old reality star tells about the mental and physical abuse she experienced as a teenager at a boarding school. According to Paris, her rough time at Provo Canyon in Utah made her more prone to violence in her later relationships. “I got so used to it on Provo that I felt like it was normal,” she explains.
All relationships started the same. “They all seemed nice guys but then their true nature came out. They got jealous or defensive or tried to control me. And then there came a point where they became physically, verbally and emotionally violent. ”
Worst person
Hilton says he did not understand what love and relationships meant in the past. “I thought the fact that they were going so crazy meant they were in love with me. Looking back, I can’t believe I let people treat me like that. ”
She would never have made the leaked sex tape she made with ex Rick Salomon in 2003 if her experiences at boarding school had been different. “I met the worst person I could have met, and if I hadn’t gone to Provo I wouldn’t even have thought about allowing him into my life. Provo influenced my future relationships. ”
By making the documentary, and with the help of her current boyfriend Carter Reum, Hilton can now give the past a place. “I feel so safe with him,” she says. “I don’t think I was ready for a good relationship before, but I’ve learned so much. And I am so grateful to have found my perfect match. ”
