Around 118 thousand free textbooks did not arrive in time to the municipalities of Irapuato, Pueblo Nuevo, Cuerámaro, Abasolo, Pénjamo and Huanímaro, as the shipment by the Federation was delayed.
This was reported by the delegate of the Southwest Region of the Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato, Rodolfo Gómez Cervantes, who said that this will not be an impediment, since the students will be able to consult these materials digitally, as soon as the physical books arrive. .
“From Conaliteg (National Commission of Free Textbooks), which is in charge of sharing the books with us, they downloaded most of them, but there is still a pending of surely 10%, approximately.
“The work that is done from the delegation is that once the books are received, a distribution begins where the USAE of each municipality support us and they make a responsible delivery of the work centers and they already coordinate with the parents of family to make this delivery ”, explained the interview the delegate of the Southwest Region of the Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato.
However, Rodolfo Gómez Cervantes pointed out that this situation will be rectified as soon as possible, in order to make this delivery to families and all students have their books.
Almost 1.2 million free textbooks correspond to the Southwest Region, where most did arrive on time, but as in previous cycles there was a delay on the part of the Federation, but the State Government is ready to correct and there is no delay in the start of classes.
