Pardubice wants to return to the repaired stadium as a first league team

The newcomer from Pardubice wants to stay in the first football league for the next two seasons, so that in 2022 he will return to the reconstructed Summer Stadium as a member of the highest competition.

The owner of the club and the chairman of the board Vladimír Pitter said this at a press conference. According to him, the budget of East Bohemians will increase by about 20 million crowns to 60 to 62 million compared to the previous year after the historical progress among the elite.

A tender is currently being held for a construction company that will renovate the Summer Stadium. In the autumn, the city council should confirm its intention to repair it. The Pod Vinicí stadium, where Pardubice has been active so far, does not meet the pre-league conditions either. Therefore, the upcoming season will take place at the stadium of the Prague Bohemians 1905.

“We are very optimistic in the club. Of course we will wish from a sports point of view to return here as the first leagues in 2022 or at the turn of 22/23. We don’t just want to play a short episode in the first league. Our goal will be to stay there and become stable “There is no value in setting goals other than maintaining top league membership. That is definitely a big challenge, our goal,” Pitter said.

“I believe that both the management and the implementation team, and especially the players will go for it and that we can do it together. And let’s really survive two seasons somewhere in the asylum so that we can look forward to our home stadium as a premier league team,” said the 47-year-old businessman. . The new year of the first league will be played by 18 teams, three of which will directly descend.

“I hope that in the course of September we will select a supplier for the reconstruction of the existing football stand and at the same time the nearest council will give the green light to start the reconstruction of this stand so that football players have the most important ones unchecked,” said Mayor of Pardubice Martin Charvát (YES). The city is also considering helping the club financially with the cost of having to play in the asylum.

The last competition was last played in Pardubice in 1969, but the current club was formed by merging three teams only in 2008. Advancing to the first league represents an increase in costs. “The total budget today is higher by 20 million. We will be somewhere around 60 to 62 million. Unfortunately, there is still an annoying item and that is testing the whole team for covid-19 every week,” said Pitter. According to him, testing for coronavirus will cost about 2.1 million crowns for the whole season.

He did not include in the budget any costs for new reinforcements. “We say to ourselves ‘calm down, we must not panic’. We know what to fill the posts, the coach declared it, but it must have a head and a heel, not at any cost. We do not want pieces,” said the former owner of hockey Slavia.

“I believe someone else will come, but it must make sense to us. It must be a typological player who will fit into the cabin, because we will put it in the cabin. For us, there are more aspects that need to come together,” Pitter said. Pardubice is interested in Stanislav Klobás from Jihlava, who became the best scorer of the second league last season. However, Vysočina demands more for it than the East Bohemian leadership is willing to pay.

According to Pitter, they are ready not to panic in Pardubice if they do not succeed in the novice year, unlike last season of the second league, which the East Czechs dominated. On Saturday, Pardubice was eliminated in the 1st round of the domestic MOL Cup with the divisional Kolín on penalties.

“Now we have won the second league, but difficult times may come. We will not make cheap gestures that if it does not work, we will solve the implementation team. We have never done that here. We will always try to solve it conceptually and of course we are realistic. try to help the coaches and possibly supplement the staff appropriately, “said Pitter.

He expects that if Pardubice stays in the first league, the budget will gradually increase. “I believe that with the arrival of a new stadium in Pardubice, we can attract new partners who can increase our budget,” said Pitter.
