Vienna (OTS) – In their fifth race, Johannes Aigner and his guide, army athlete Matteo Fleischmann, win the fifth medal. The visually impaired Aigner and the athlete Fleischmann win the silver medal in the slalom. They only have to admit defeat to the Italians Bertagnolli/Ravelli.

Equality and inclusion as medal guarantors
The Army Sports Center has been promoting Austrian competitive sport with its ten Army competitive sports centers since 1962. More than 450 people are currently part of the Army Sports support program. A special chapter began in 2016 with support for people with disabilities. There are now 20 places for athletes with disabilities in the contingent of top athletes. Traditionally, army sport has numerous participants in major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, European and World Championships. They were able to win numerous successes and medals for Austria.
