Panama receives batch of 204 thousand vaccines from the pharmaceutical AstraZeneca

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that on the afternoon of this Saturday, May 22, a batch of 204 thousand vaccines from the pharmaceutical AstraZeneca arrived in the country through the Tocumen International Airport.

According to Minsa, these biologicals were acquired through “bilateral negotiations between Panama and the company.”

The new batch arrives on the day it was reported that in Panama 939 thousand 728 doses have been applied against Covid-19 of the AstraZeneca and Pfizer companies.

On the other hand, starting this Monday, May 24, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, the fast car operations will begin in Chiriquí for voluntary vaccination on the premises of the International Fair of David.

While for Herrera and Los Santos, it is from May 25 that the vaccination process with AstraZeneca will begin in the fast car, which will be at the Azuero International Fair.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, May 26, vaccination is scheduled to begin in the province of Coclé, in the fast car that is being adapted in the Boulevard Penonomé shopping center.

By May 31, the process will begin in the province of Panamá Oeste, on the grounds of the La Chorrera Fair.

This vaccination is voluntary and is applied to men from the age of 30 and women over the age of 50, who must register with panamasolidario.gob.pa.
